2. Analytics and Tracking
We either create a new Google Analytics account or acquire access to yours if you have one. From there we incorporate additional data to help keep track of where the leads are coming from and what type of conversion rates they are giving us.
This will also help to track bounce rates and website engagement so that we can make sure our efforts are well documented, at the same time getting you the leads and customers you expect.
3. Link Building & Content Creation
At this stage, this is where most businesses stop. There’s a common misconception that just building a website should be enough. But that’s just not the case. We need to optimize your website with on-page SEO and add keywords that are relevant to the queries being made in Google, Yahoo, or Bing.
But that’s just the beginning…
We need to obtain inbound links from outside sources. These outside sources will point to your website and pass their domain authority and web scores on to you, therefore increasing your domain authority. There are numerous ways to do this and we start with:
- Do a competitive link analysis and research, using the various tools at our disposal, to acquire competitors backlinks of the top 10 competitors in your area and implement them into our strategy.
- We will reverse engineer their strategy and outperform them.
- We will then do a complete SEO audit to remove old, dated and toxic websites currently linking to you that may be impacting your rankings.
- If necessary, we will create blog articles and content on your behalf to give users the ability to share it, comment on it, and be engaged.
As of 2020, link building is still the single most important method in the optimization and placement of your website for Search.
From there we will:
- Implement all of your local citations that are relevant to your niche.
- Add your business to local directories, websites, and associations.
Showing up on Google Maps and ranking organically is still the best investment for any service business in their digital marketing strategy. It’s time-consuming and you must think long term. Most importantly, you will start to get great traffic from this and you will start to get the best ROI you could ask for.
4. Location Page Buildout Framework
Typically we see websites in your industry have anywhere from 5 to 8 pages built on the website. Usually, that is Home, About Us, Our Services, Services sub-pages, Contact Us, Gallery, etc. That’s just not going to be enough to get your website to rank above your competition.
We take a different approach. You may have one central location you work from and that’s fine. We found that many Lawn & Landscaping or Exterior House Cleaning businesses work with a radius of up to 50 miles. Within that radius, there are numerous towns and sub-cities that we can rank for. We will build out pages that list your service in that area.
For example, you don’t just offer Exterior House Cleaning. Let’s just say you offer window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and roof washing. We build out pages for every keyword for that service and area you work in. If you worked in Houston, TX but you also do work in Cypress, TX then we would build out pages for that.
We find that there are typically 10 -15 sub-cities or towns for most markets so we would build out pages for all of those sub-cities and all of the services you provide for those. We then build an internal link strategy for those pages to help your main pillar pages rank the highest in Search Results.
5. Publishing Additional Content
Depending on the situation we may need to publish additional content like educational articles, how to’s, what’s the difference between, etc.
Our priority is to get your website ranked no matter what, however, we may not even need to publish anything at all. It always depends on your market, competition, and of course Google.
Having additional content means you are creating unique content to the internet and Google loves it, especially if it’s engaging with your audience and they are reading, sharing and commenting on them. It will definitely help your rankings, but we only use this strategy if we really have to.
6. Google Ads (PPC) & Social Media Marketing
Sometimes you just need customers and leads right off the bat. You don’t have enough ranking authority to justify good enough traffic while we work through your long term strategy.
The good news is that we can create campaigns through Google Ads to put an ad right at the top of Google Search so that you can start getting leads and calls right away.
We have also found that you are at least 2x more likely to convert more prospects into leads by leveraging Facebook Ads with retargeting ads set up. The retargeting ads would retarget people who have already visited your website. Those people have an interest already and are way more likely to buy from you.
In most instances it can take up to 7 touches before someone decides to buy from you, so we need to take advantage of these strategies.
Once we set up the accounts we would put your credit card on file and you would pay Google and Facebook directly for the clicks and impressions that they charge you. These services are a pay per click service and we would need to determine a sufficient budget for these campaigns to help you maximize your lead flow and reach your targets.
7. Check-In & Reputation Management
One of the most important aspects of perceived value is having an automated follow-up system that even your technicians can use when they need to. We will provide you with an application that you can use that will allow your business to follow up and check-in with the client and then systematically follow up with them after the job is completed.
- Check-in – As your techs check-in from their devices upon job arrival, they will have the ability to take photos or videos of the work, enter the customer’s info like name, email and phone number and submit it. It will then populate that info to every social media platform it’s assigned to.
- Review Request – Once the submission takes place it will send the customer a request to review your service, then an automated email or text sequence thereafter to review your service, if they didn’t review you yet.
